Let's Make Some Art!

Watch here each week for 2 or 3 art activity ideas, for any age!
Since you'll be doing these at home rather than in the classroom,
I'll try to keep things open-ended and flexible so you can use materials you have available.
Drawing paper, computer paper, lined notebook paper, construction paper...
and use what you have for drawing: pencils, crayons, markers - it's all good!

Most importantly, Be Yourself, Be Creative, and HAVE FUN!
After you've created something, you can share your work here if you like.
Take a photo of your picture, or scan it,
then email to:  [email protected]
or send via text message to 308-207-0802

I'll include as many examples here as I can!
This is a new adventure for all of us,
so please be patient as we make adjustments to make this work smoothly.
I'm also working on a format for more formal classes and lessons, stay tuned!
Activity #5
Animals!
Draw one of your favorite animals, whether its a pet or a wild thing,
from life, a photo, your memory or imagination.

Activity #4
Snack time
Draw your next snack, as it disappears!
One way to begin is to fold your paper in half, then half again.
When you unfold it, you will have 4 sections.(You can do more if you like).
Draw the snack whole, then partially eaten, and so on.
Your choice as to what the snack is of course-
fruit, cookies, crackers, a sandwich, a bowl of ice cream...
Activity #3
Trees
I like to draw winter trees, you can see all the interesting branches, bird nests,
the different shapes of different kinds of trees.  Go outside, or look out your window-
find an interesting tree and draw what you see.
Activity #2
Shoes!

Pick out one of your favorite shoes. Find an interesting angle, and draw it!
Want an extra challenge?  Draw both shoes!
Activity # 1
Salt and Pepper Shakers
Find the salt and pepper shakers in your kitchen.
Look at them carefully, noticing all the shapes and lines.
Set the shakers in front of you, and using the paper and drawing tools of your choice,
draw what you see.
